I don?t see any baptism for a Hugh Kerr on rootsireland.ie and the only marriage I can see in any part of Ireland is a Hugh McKeer in Co. Derry in 1772. It could be that your ancestors were born in a parish and at a time that predates the parish records. Do you know anything more about the Fountaine Thomson side? Give the unusual name it might be easier to search for them and try to link back.
