Seeking information about the Healy family in Sligo, I believe these to be true regarding my grandmother Mary Healy:
Born in 1894; in the household for the 1901 census, but not in the household in the 1911 census, possibly a servant in another home; emigrated in 1913 to join her brother John in New York, then married Michael Griffin in 1919 in Detroit, Michigan; gave birth to at least five children: a daughter died young, and two boys were abandoned by the eldest son - James Cornelius - when his father, Michael, died and left Jim to support the family. Mary died in the USA in 1938, a year before Michael. Cannot get any traction on Michael Griffin.
I so want to come to County Sligo, if this is truly where my Irish roots first grew. Her death certificate refers to "Slingo" - grasping at straws, perhaps.
Any and all insight is appreciated.

Thank you for this; it matches other information. I believe Mary may be the servant in the listed in the Davey household in Leitrim for the 1911 Census.
