PURTELL's from Kilcolman

Hello. I am searching for ancestors of John PURTELL, born cir 1816. He married Mary MADIGAN, probably around 1839.  Their first child, Margaret, was born in Kilcolman in 1840.  Hanorah, Margaret, Bridget and James all followed the first Margaret's birth. John and MaryAnn and their children lived in Gortadroma, Duncaha or a local place... Fehard, all near Shanagolden.

MaryAnn and John emigrated to North America about 1850 with a daughter, Mary, being born in May 1851 in Binghamton, New York.

It is believed that daughter Hanorah (b July 1841) returned to Ireland and married Patrick CAHILL( in Shanagolden in 1856) probably from Duncaha. Patrick and Hanorah had 18 children, most of whom emigrated (after Patrick's death) with Hanorah when she came back to the US (New York) in the late 1800's.

There was also a Robert PURTELL, b 1808 who emigrated to LaSalette, Ontario, Canada w/his wife Mary McCarty in about 1840, and a Laurence PURTELL who emigrated w/his wife Mgt. O'Reardon to Binghamton, New York. I believe that my John Purtell, Robert Purtell and Laurence Purtell may have been brothers and the sons of a (widow) Mary Purtell who is listed in the Griffith's Valuation in Gortadroma. I would like to learn more about this widow Mary ~ the name of her husband, and if there might have been other siblings.

I would also like to try to "attend" meetings via Skype. Would you folks be "up" for even trying this?
