My GG, Mary Ellen McCormick was born in Roscommon, possibly Fuerty in Aug of 1863. I think she had a nephew, Owen Monaghan. His parents were Tim and Mary (McCormick) Monaghan. Mary Ellen's parents may have been Thomas and Maria or Mary. Not sure about this. She arrived in New York and married William Tynan. I believe he was born in New York. Thanks for any help.     I sent you some website links in a previous message that may be of help to you. I had a quick check for the place name that you mentioned. If you go onto the Irish Times link below and go to Browse-Roman Catholic Parish Map-Roscommon- and click on the Parish of Athleague (which includes Fuerty) you will be able to see what records that exist and the dates also.

    You are looking for McCormack not McCormick.  The family do live in the half parish of Fuerty in the County Roscommon.
