Sarah Kernhan came to Boston, MA. in 1834, age 12 yrs old, (b. 1822), from Londonderry. Sister, Mariah Caroline b. 1824, also came to Boston. They both married Armstrongs.
Sarah married Thomas Armstong, (b. 1814) and Mariah married James, (b. 1808). Unknown if they were brothers or cousins. James was born in Salry, Fermanangh, as was his brorther, William, (b.1804) James was married in Co. Downs, in 1836 to Jane Watson, (b. 1800), before coming to America. Two sons were born to them there; Thomas, (1836) and Levi, (1839).
William married Frances Ellinor (Graham) Reed in IrelandThey had six children in Ireland before coming to America.
These Kernahan-Armstrongs all lived in Boston until 1856, then moved to Henderson co. Ill. Descendants are searching for the parents, siblings, townlands.

I dont know, or never heard of a "Salry" in Clones Parish. The closest match I can think of is Sallaghy in Galloon Parish. Armstrongs are numerious in both Clones and Galloon so it is probably worth looking into.
