Hello,
Any Church of Ireland, Barony of Cremore, Mullenagore, birth or baptism records that would show information for children of James Wiggins, who lived in the above named area at that time, they were born around 1748, 1750 and 1752 with their names and dates if possible?
I would be so grateful.
Sincerely
Nancy Jane Wiggins LaMantia

Hi Nancy,
Thank you very much for your message.
Church of Ireland parish registers for the period up to 1870 are public records. Registers are available for about one third of the parishes, however many were destroyed in the Public Records Office in Dublin in 1922. Most surviving Church of Ireland records are still held by the local clergy, although some are in the National Archives of Ireland and others are in the Representative Church Body Library in Dublin. Here are their websites: http://www.nationalarchives.ie/ and http://ireland.anglican.org/about/42
Lists of these surviving registers can also be found at the National Library of Ireland.

- The National Archives of Ireland holds microfilm or other copies of the surviving Church of Ireland registers for the dioceses of Ferns, Glendalough, Kildare and Meath. Some other areas are also represented.

- The Public Records of Northern Ireland (PRONI) hold copies of all surviving Church of Ireland registers for the dioceses of Armagh, Clogher, Connor, Derry, Dromore, Down, Kilmore and Raphoe. These cover the six counties of Northern Ireland, but they also cover counties Cavan, Donegal, Louth, Monaghan and part of Leitrim. Copies of the registers from the Republic of Ireland which were microfilmed by PRONI, are held by the Representative Church Body Library.
