I believe Robert McClure (born 1799) was living in Ballymonaghan near Londonderry by the time of his death, and was born in ARtrasnahan near Randalstown. If anyone knows of the McClure family we would be most grateful for any information.

I know of a David McClure b c 1790 who lived in Artresnahan. He married Margaret Beattie and later farmed nearby in Derryhollagh. He died 27th June 1883 and is buried in Duneane Presbyterian churchyard. He had a brother Thomas Henry McClure who married Jane Beattie (sister of Margaret). He died in Bangor, Co Down in 1845.
The Tithe applotment records for Artresnahan in 1831 list 3 McClure farms, headed by William, George and Thomas respectively. The Shane?s Castle estate records for 1829 (PRONI: T1024/1) list William, George & David McClure as farmers in Artresnahan.
