Hello,

I am looking for those living in Meath / Louth in relation of the children of Henry Gerrard, he was born in Drumcondra , Meath in 1839 and married to Anne Hamil in 1873 in the same place and had the four children born in Ardee, Meath / Louth. Henry's brother was Laurence Gerrard, born 1827, did married and died in circa 1905.

I would like to have contact with them if they are living or not?

Regards,

Conor

I can't help you with descendants of Henry Gerrard. I did find the 1901 census record for Laurance and the 1901 and 1911 census records for Anne and children. Henry died in 1882 and Laurance died in 1902.

  • Hi Conor

    Roger & I are a tag-team

There is a record of the birth of Henry GERARD in Meath 1839 on www.rootsireland.ie/ so maybe the descendants spell the name with 1 r?

    http://ifhf.rootsireland.ie/quis.php?page=1&confirmPageView=Y

The Irish phone book (free online) has 183 GERARDS living in Meath today.

    http://www.eircomphonebook.ie/q/name/where/County%20Meath/who/Gerard/?customerType=RESIDENTIAL&contentErrorLinkEnabled=true

It also has 9 in Drumcondra, DUBLIN and 21 in Ardee Louth.

Maybe you could print off a letter and send it to as many of these as you can you might get a response or two that answer your questions.

  • Hi

I am seeking any information on the brady family of drumcondra parish, in the townland of corstown co meath.  James brady was a tenant farmer on the aclare estate or demense.  he was listed on the parish census of 1876.  he was married to Elozabeth Fay? and lived in corstown with his sons: john matthew patrick peter james and his brother.  james was aged 80 and his wife was 60. his brother was 78?  his eldest son john joined the RIC and on the 1901 census matthew is listed as the head of the family.  matthew is still on the 1911 census.  I would love to know if any of the family stayed in meath or where they went.

Any information would be gratefully appreciated.

    Yours sincerely

    Cora Marshall born Brady
