Looking for John Ryan born 20/05/1798. Died in Australia in 1892. Married Julia Shanahan (born abt 1808) in Ireland and came to Australia in 1841. He was accompanied by Julia and children Ellen, Thomas, Anne, James, Julia and John. I am hoping to confirm birth of John and Julia and also their marriage. Also find their parents. Julia's father was Thomas her mother Ellen.

This appears to be the same family line as mine - if so then the family appears to originally come from Curraghduff where John was a tenant on land. This is the information already sent to me from a researcher in Ireland. The family left from Cork so am presuming that they left their town and went to Cork possibly only to travel. I am also looking for the irish connection as it is possible that John came out to Australia with his brothers. Unfortunately I dont have his mother's name only his father James which is very common. I am looking to find his siblings and also Julia Shanahan's siblings as it is possible they also come to Australia. Believe that they married sometime around 1827.
