How would I go about finding the maiden name of my gr-gr-grandmother, Hanoria Mulroy? She is burried in the Strade Abbey Cemetery (Templemore Parish) with her husband Mihael Mulroy. I have found a picture of her headstone, and her date of death was July 26, 1880. Would the Church have the records, and how would I get in touch with them?
Thank you in advance,
Pat Murphy-Zezelic

Pat:
In my experience the maiden name is not shown on a civil death record. Here is the link to the Catholic Church in Straid. E-mail them to see if they can assist. http://www.straideparish.com/

Hi Pat,
There is a record on www.rootsireland.ie/ of the marriage of Michael Mulroy to Honor --- in Mayo 1885 in Templemore which would have her surname.
The records cost - you need to register and purchase credit - but you get them instantly.
