Hello Again, I do believe I have the right names this time, I have found the most likely death certificate for my great great grandfather. James J Moran b about 1845 married Sarah Jane McHale, came to US about 1966 or so. His parents were John Moran and Bridget Brogan. Family history says from the Westport area, but Im not putting a lot of stake in that. The grandmother's family was from Ballina. Both familes settled in the Dunmore, Pa coal mining area. Any help would be lovely. Hope to come to Ireland in September and would really love to know where my Dad's family comes from. thanks Victoria

Victoria:
I checked the Roots Ireland indexes for 1840-1850 and there was no James Moran baptismal record in Mayo with parents John and Bridget.
The only possible marriage record was in Turlough Mayo in 1864 between a James Moran and a Mary McHale.

Hi Roger,
Do you have any other information on the record your found? where there any witnesses?
I have not been able to track down any information on James's parents, John Moran and Bridget Brogan either, a bit of a frustrating search. Looking back at Dunmore, PA, USA records to see if other Morans arrived the same time as James and Sarah to see if that will help. thanks!
