Hello
I have found the Death Record of who I think was my Great Grandfather James Higgins of Uggool/Eggool, Kilmovee. He died on 31 August 1907 in Uggool, Kilmovee aged 86 years.
I have been looking for his wife Bridget Higgins who died after 1911. I have looked at all the possible Bridget Higgins's who died in Swinford and Castlebar and the only one that looks possible looks like it has been indexed incorrectly.
This record is for a Bridget Higgins who died in 1917 in Swinford aged 72 years and is Group Registration ID 5550348 but when I look at this image there is no Bridget Higgins. There is only a Dominick Higgins aged 65 years. This same Dominick Higgins is indexed separately as Group Registration ID 5550353 Died 1917 aged 65 Years in Swinford (Foxford). He actually died on 14 October 1916.
I have checked the Civil Registrations on Family Search and Bridget Higgins is there as having died in March Qtr of 1917 in Swineford aged 72 years and is in Vol 4 Page 312 of the Register. There is no image there.
I wrote to IrishGenealogy regarding this error but have had no reply.
I also emailed Roscommon GRO regarding this and asked them if the Bridget Higgins who died in March Qtr 1917 aged 72 Years came from Uggool, Kilmovee but they have not replied.
Can anyone help.

Hi Pat,
There are a few instances in the database of records being linked to the incorrect image. You can see the correct image here: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_retu…
I simply changed the last digit of the address and the correct image came up. I hope this helped. Good luck with your research.
Kind regards,
Maria

Hello Maria
Thank you very much for finding the Death Record of the Bridget Higgins who I was unable to find.
After looking at the Record it is not the Bridget Higgins I had hoped for.
This one is a Spinster from Foxford.
My Bridget Higgins was a Widow from Uggool, Kilmovee and was 70 in 1911.
I have had another look for her in Swinford and Castlebar and also her daughter Catherine who was single and alive in 1911 and was aged 48 in 1911. I can't find either of them. Bridget had her 7 year old grandson born in England with her and Catherine in 1911 in Uggool. I think the 7 year old grandson was my Dad's brother who was born in Prescot, Lancashire, England in 1903. He was missing off the 1911Uk Census in Liverpool.
I am now wondering if they went to Liverpool after 1911 because John definitely went back to Liverpool at some stage because he married there in 1935.
Would you know which Cemetery James Higgins aged 86 years who died on 31 August 1907 at Uggool, Kilmovee would be buried in. I would like to see if anyone else is in the grave.
I think their son Patrick Higgins is buried in St Patrick's Cemetery in 1950. He died in Castlebar Hospital.
I have looked on Irish Graveyards Site and there is another James Higgins family from Uggool/Eggool buried in Kilmovee Cemetery but he is another James Higgins.
