I am looking for information on my 3 times great grandfather John Artemis Patterson. He was born 12/25/1818 in Tyrone and his baptism was in 1820 in Kilmoremoy, Mayo. He immigrated to the United States in April 1840. I believe his father may be James Isom Patterson (born 6/21/1795 died 2/1/1875) from Tyron but this information may not be correct. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This is a good page (and website) for researching Kilmoremoy Roots, part of Kilmoremoy was in Sligo until after 1898, the North side of the river in Ballina was regarded as being in Co. Sligo and some records might be registered there, just a point if you are searching records.
