I am looking for the Moyles family, the father was Brian and the mother was Annie Gilverry (?). Some of the children's names were Agnes, James, Bridgett, Sabina, Kate. At least some of them left for America in the early 20th century. The father continued to live in Ballina Urban in the 1911 census, while the mother and children lived in Ballina rual in 1911. Also, Agnes returns to Ireland in 1911 thru 1912 apon her re entry to the United States she states that her father lives in Laghtadawannagh (?). They seemed to have settled in Waterbury Connecticut. Any help on either the Moyles or Gilverry
Thanks

I am looking into this,so give me a day or two to get a summary. I can also give information on the Gilvarry's as well - this is an uncommon name, but found in Ballina and Killala.
You can find Laghtadawannagh on a map here:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Laghtadawannagh,+Co.+Mayo,+Ireland/@5…Here are some recent Gilvarry notes:

There are quite a few deaths of people named Moyle in Ballina here: http://irishgenealogy.ie/
In order to help me figure out what best to look for, what is it that you are looking for? Do you want to find out what happened to the family after 1911 or do you want to go back and find out earlier generations?
thanks,
John

Thank you for your quick response. Well if I have the choice I would like to go further back in time for both families. I would also like to know more about the townland and burial grounds. I am new to this whole thing and I am wondering if there is a local historical group or web site that will foucus on Ballina and Laghtadawannagh.
Thank you so much. I feel that I am being to close in on the story that my mother and grand mother started so long ago.
