Gardiner family of Kilmore, Armagh

Unfortunately, this is probably as far back as you will be able to research given the early time frame. Church of Ireland records for Kilmore do not begin until 1843, so you will not be able to get a parish record, if indeed they were baptised and married here. Records up to this point are available on rootsireland.ie - St. Saviour's Church of Ireland are just newly added.

I think the best course of action would be to track the children and other extended family in the hope that they provide you with the information you need. Rootsireland and ancestry are available and family search too, the latter which is free to access.

For names too that are a little uncommon, I sometimes conduct a search of the Irish Newspaper Archive as you can see straight away if the news item is relevant. You can subscribe for short periods if that suits and I believe their Christmas offer is still in operation:

Hi Barbiefay

Not sure if you are still exploring this, but my grt grandfather was Thomas Gardiner born in Preston Lancashire and his younger brother was Singleton Gardiner born in Rich Hill. Both emigrated to Brisbane, Australia in the 1880s (independently) but lived close together. You can explore my Gardiner Family Tree on Ancestry.com if you like.
