Cannen Families

I found the family in the 1901 and 1911 censuses. They lived in Balloorclerhy townland in Killedan. The surname was shown as Cannon. The 1911 census indicates that John and Bridget were married for 40 years and as of 1911 only four of their 10 children were still living.I could not locate any Cashmans living in Mayo in 1901 or 1911.

If you look at this site for Cemeteries you will see some old stones for Cannon's in Ballure.  This Cemetery is called Kilkinure, and is just outside the town of Kiltimagh not far from Killedan.

There is an old Cemetery in Killedan  (just off the road between Bohola and Kiltimagh) but there are only a few stones there that can be deciphered, I have transcribed some on findagrave, but no Cannons.
