Hello, my gg g/p's Michael Coyne & Mary Ferguson were married abt 1841. I believe in Backs, Killala, Mayo. I am hoping for information of their birth or baptismal records as well as their parents names.

Thanks in advance for any possible information.

Sincerely,

Denny McFadden

  • Hi again Denny

No records for Michael before 1830

Earliest baptisms in the R C registers (suggested in my answer to your previous post) are 1840 so too late for Michael I'm afraid

  • Denny:

The townland shown in the marriage record from Col is Colladussaun in Kilbelfad civil parish. I looked up the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for the parish and there was a Michael Coyne listed in Carrowgarve townland and a number of Fergusons in Colladussaun. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/mayo/kilbelfad.htm

This may be your Michael and Mary in the 1901 census in Carrowgarve. Not there in 1911 so they likely had died.
