GGgrandmother Mary Casey nee Kilker- born Belmullet ca. 1819 married James Casey- unknown date or exactly where. Griffith's Valuation showed a James Casey in Belmullet Town. They lived in Belmullet until? My Ggrandmother Susan Casey, youngest of 13, arrived in Chicago ca. 1880. I've identified several of James and Mary's 13 children through on-line records from Irish Family History Foundation. Looking for any ancestors still living in Belmullet or Mayo. Mary Casey nee Kilker died in Chicago, IL in 1897 while living in Chicago with one of her daughters, Moira Coughlin nee Casey. Since Mary Casey nee Kilker was living with her daughter without James Casey...I suspect James had already died sometime prior to Mary's death in 1897. I have no information on the parents of either James Casey or Mary Kilker. I have been in contact with other Kilker descendants but have not been able to pinpoint her portion of the Kilker family.

Hi Tom, I recently met Tom Kilker of Oregon who is searching for his Kilker/Meenaghan relatives. I have concluded that the best way to figure out the connections between the Kilkers is to look at the Sponsors for all their children. That said when I looked at those for James Casey & Mary Kilker I found one Kilker....Rose Kilker, and one Casey.... Anne Casey.
Let me know if you need the names of all the sponsors to their 8 children recorded in Belmullet parish from 1844 to 1861. Susan is the last name listed for them which would tie in with what you said.
