Looking for connections for my grandmother and great grandparents. My grandmother, Mary Agnes Donoghue emigrated from Gurteen outsdie of Kilgarvan around 1884 to Boston where she lived with her aunt Margaret (Donoughue) Manning. She was later joined in Boston by her sisters Margaret (m. Carlin) and Elizabeth (Agnes or Bessie m. Clark) and her mother Ellen (nee Donoghue). Brother Daniel remained in Gurteen at least through the 1911 census with his wife and family. Whereabouts of brothers Patrick and Cornelius is unknown as well as sisters Helen and Bridget.
My great grandfather John Donoughue may have died around 1884. His parents were Daniel and Ellen. My great grandmother's parents were Ellen (Sullivan) and Denis Donoghue. They may have been from Cork.

Hi
If you haven't already you may try checking Griffith's Valuation (1848-64) http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/
or the Church of Latter Day Saints (LDS) https://familysearch.org/
for some of your relatives.Or even the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jspSome sites for County Kerry information are:

http://www.dioceseofkerry.ie/page/heritage/genealogy/Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you.
Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search. Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.
