Looking for Hogan's of Portacloy

I found two records on Roots Ireland which are of interest. They are both in 1865.See below. The first is a baptismal record for a John Hogan from the Kiltane RC parish and the other is a civil record for a Pat Hogan also in 1865. Not sure how there can be two children born a month apart. Maybe they were twins and there was a delay with the baptism. I also provided you with a link to the Kiltane parish register.

Thank you Roger.  We knew about the Civil Registration for Patrick, but the baptism of John at the Parish of Kiltane is a good find.  I believe this is their teenage son since he says he was born about 1850 in the 1901 census, and he married in 1879.  That also explains why he was baptized one month after the birth of his brother Patrick.  We are still trying to find the descandants of any other children born to John Hogan and Catherine Naughton.

I'm not following you reply. Are you saying that John was born in 1850 and baptized in 1865 at age 15?

Yes I believe he was not an infant in 1865.  Our John Hogan born to John Hogan and Catherine Naughton was married in 1879 and says he was born about 1850 in the 1901 Ireland Census.
