I would love to know my ggggrandmother's maiden name. She was married to Patrick Gallagher and had these children: Michael, Bridget, Felix, Catherine, Patrick and Ann. My gggrandfather, Michael Gallagher, was born there in 1835-1840. The family were tenant farmers in Castlebar,Connaught, according to family history and the family Bible. They must have emigrated to England as they are listed in the 1861 census of Cheshire, with Catherine listed as being a widow. They then emigrated to NY. I would like to confirm that they did indeed come from Castlebar and would like to know Catherine's maiden name. Any help that you can give would be appreciated.
Thank you. Kathleen Gallagher Kilburn
