  • My cousin is a descendant of John Forrestal and Mary Doocher.

John was from Ballytigue, Glenhest, Newport and Mary was from Bracklagh, Glenhest.

The Forrestal home in Ballytigue was situated on the lane beside Annagh Cemetery for which the family were caretakers.

  • Hi William

Sorry for the late reply. I have spoken to my cousin and she has no other information on the Doocher name.  She had only ever heard the name in relation to her own family and did not think there were any other family by that name in the locality .
