I am looking for any informtion about the irish family history  of my GG GM Bridget McDonough. Bridget came to Australia under the Earl Grey scheme which bought orphan girls aged 14 to 18 from the workhouses of Ireland to Australia.

She came on the ship Panama which arrived in Sydney on 12 January 1850. She was 16.  On the passenger list she is No 102, Biddy McDonough, from Ballinrobe, County Mayo, the daughter of Michael deceased and Mary McDonough. Her mother was still alive, presumably left behind in the workhouse. She was a Roman Catholic, a needlewoman and her health was good. She died in Cunnamulla Queensland in 1915.
