I searched for the baptismal records for the three children and could not find a record for John but did find records for Mary and Bridget but not in Balla. They were baptized in Keeloges which is the parish to the north of Balla. I looked at the parish register and it appears the family llived in a townland called Lower Currinane or something close to that. I ws unable to find the townland and I'm not sure if they lived in Balla civil parish or a nearby parish. 

The baptismal records for Keeloges start in 1847  http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/1065   so it will be difficult to track Patrick to Ann McKeon. The Balla records start in 1837 http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/1044
