Hi
Looking for information on Thomas Egan born in Mayo, in 1787. Married to Ann Welch born 1790. Moved to Canada in 1845 and settle on a farm in the province of Quebec, just north of Ottawa, Ontario (capital). They had 5 children, Mary, Michael, Thomas, James and Patrick. Mary, was married to Martin Gannon. They had a girl, Bridgette. They all travelled together on the trip.
As was the custom in Ireland [as it is was where I grew up] the Marriage took place in the Bride's Parish. Now I am told through relatives from the Egan/ Gannon branch of the family that the Gannon family, lived in this area. Martin G. who married Mary E. would have grown up with his family, in this area. I am hoping someone may have information on one of these names.
In researching from this great web-site, I have narrowed down a Thomas Egan that lived in Eden Knock Mayo. Just not 100% sure if it's my Thomas. [there are a few]
Thanks for reading
