Thank you, roger.  That information I do have, but I'm looking for their parents....and lineage before that. Thanks so much.

I've gone back and forth on two different subscription sites and if they were married in Mayo, I can't find the record. The marriage should have been around 1880 after civil registration started but nothing comes up and I'm doing ten year searches using variant surnames for Edward.

This morning i searched those handwritten County Mayo wedding registrations.  But the combination of my rather poor eyesuight---even with glasses, poor reproduction of the documents, and handwriting that was a little diffiuclt to read...led to frustration and disillusionment.  

But there were 2 entries that I did find before I succumbed.  As best as I could tell the first was: BALLYGLASS MARTIN HERAGHTY TO BRIDGET HYNES FEB 1, 1840.  The other was---again as best as I could tell---GORTHEUS FE. 20 1840, ANTHONY (?) HERAGHTY TO CATHERINE KEVIL (?) "  Again, my interpretation of the handwriting might be seriousl;y mistaken.

Could either of these be the parents of Edward "Ned" Heraty/ Heraghty??
