Hello! I have been researching my lines in the Lower Creggan. Bernard McCann was born approximately 1833. I believe in Armagh. He married Ann McShane on 5/14/1852 in Cullyhanna. What I am sure of - they had three daughters (at least), Mary Ann - born abt 1853, Catherine and my line, Ellen - born 8/22/1858. I would love to be able to locate additional information on Bernard and Ann. I know that Ellen ended up in Paisley, Scotland and married an Edward Boyle from Derry. I don't know what happened to her parents. I plan on visiting Cullyhanna in May and hoped to find their final resting place and additional information on their parents. I have tried to call and e-mail the local historial society, but have been unable to make a connection. Any help would be appreciated!

i just started researching this but my grand mother was Isabella McShane and she lived in Aarmagh county in the town of Tartaraghan part of the Drumcree parish. She married Charles John Corr. As far as i know they had 4 children- James Hugh John and Mary. She was born 2/20/1870 and what i found was she lived until 1989 -119 years old. not sure if that is accurate or not. I am trying to find info on her too. Good luck and let me know if this is familiar...i can give you her side of my family tree.
