  • I have found Michael Feeney in "Ireland, Tithe Applotment books, 1814-1835" in 1835 living next door to Christopher Evers in Townland Derren, Parish Killashee, County Longford.I have found a Michael Feeny who was baptized 31 Oct 1814 in County Longford.Father John Feeny and mother Elizabeth Lyons witnesses Hugh McGann and Ann Duffy.I beleive this is my family.I have had my DNA tested back in 2006.There is a Feeney DNA Project that has 55 members. There are a lot of Feeney families which make it very hard to track your ancestors. My great great grandfather arrived in New York, 11 Aug 1835.I have found him in the 1840 U.S. Census, 1855 N.Y.State Census, 1860 U.S. Census, 1865 N.Y. State Census, 1875 N,Y. State Census and Brooklyn directories 1872-1888.I know that he is from Longford from the Emigrant Savings Bank. Thank you Michael J Feeney
