James Flynn was baptized in Ennybegs in 1839.  His father was Terrence and mother Ann Laughrey.  They were married there in 1838.  They had another son Patrick as well.

James emigrated to New York City in about 1870 and married Mary Jane O'Connor in 1872.  They were the grandparents of my wife, Joan O'Connor.

  • Hi, thank you for sharing this information on the Ireland Reaching Out Pages.

Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. It will also be more likely that your information will aid others in their own research. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

    Kind regards,
