Pierce Murray was born in Cashel in 1824.  His wife Ellen Croak was born Dundrum around the same time.

Ellen emigrated to US in 1849.  She and Pierce were married and found in the 1860 US Maine Censue.

Looking to find the parish records for their birth and other other family connections.

    Can you confirm if your ancestors were RC or another denomination?

    Also, was Cashel in Tipperary or Longford. Same with Dundrum, Down or Dublin. I've incliuded links to the four possible RC parish registers but both Dundrum parishes do not have records available until the 1850s.

  • Thanks Roger.  Sorry it took so long to reply.  I must have missed an email.

    In any case, it was Tipperary for both.  Dundrum is just down the road from Cashel.  I'll take a look at the links - thanks again.
