1a. Patrick DUNPHY (bc 1823 - place unknown) married 1848 RC Church, Blackrock, Dundrum, Booterstown Co. DUBLIN:-

1b. Anne KENNEDY (bc 1823 - place unknown).  Had issue:-

     2a. John Joseph Dunphy bap. 1851 (RC Church, St. Andrew, Dublin City)

     2b. Bridget Mary Dunphy bap. 1853 (RC Church, St. Nicholas, Dublin City)

     2c. Patrick Dunphy bap. 1854 (RC Church, St. Andrew, Dublin City)

     2d. Maria Anna Dunphy bap. 1855 (RC Church, St. Nicholas, Dublin City)

     2e. James Roland Dunphy bap. 1859 (RC Church, St. Nicholas, Dublin City)

     2f. Catherine Dunphy bap. 1860 (RC Church, St. Nicholas, Dublin City)

     2g. Anna Maria Dunphy bap. 1861 (RC Church, St. Nicholas, Dublin City) married 1889 RC Church, Brisbane, Australia

          to Thomas (aka John) GETHINGS (bap. 1864, Muskeagh, Co. Wicklow).  Sister:-

 

3a.  Catherine Mary GETHINGS (bap. 1859, Muskeagh, Co. Wicklow) married 1882 RC Church, St. Andrew, Dublin City:-

3b.  James SINNOTT (bc 1853 - place unknown)

 

Would love to hear from any living descendants of the above people.  Patrick Dunphy (1a) was a plasterer and we believe his son Patrick (2c) was also the plasterer who appeared on the 1901 Dublin City Census, age 44 years, living at Vicar Street, Merchants Quay with wife Mary and three (3) sons.

If nothing turnsup ? it is advisable to try different variations of the spellings of the names.     Marriage record for James and Catherine appears to have Catherine under the surname GILLINGS, however both parties made their marks, rather than signing, so could have been an error in recording (either that, or the later use of GETHINGS is the error).
