Dear Sirs,

I am endeavouring to locate the marriage details of my grandparents, Bridget (aka Brigid) Ryan from Hospital and Michael Murphy from Enniskeane, Co. Cork, both National School Teachers who were married sometime between 1911 and 1919.  I have carried out all the usual searches but to no avail.   Any assistance you can give in this regard would be most appreciated.  My grandmother's parents were Denis (Dinny) Ryan (Stonemason) and Johanna (Hanora) Ryan from Hospital.

    I did not find a marriage index record in the Kilmallock registration district for the 1911-1919 period. I'm wondering since Brigid was a teacher could she have been teaching in Co. Kildare or Co. Leix (Athy registration district covers parts of both counties) when she married. I found the index record below in the Athy registration district. NOTE: Michael Murphy was one of four males recorded on this page so this Brigid could have been married to one of the other three listed. I may be way off base but I thought I would share this record.
