Carroll descendants

I looked at our prior messages for Carrolls in Co. Limerick but did not see any messages for the Castleconnell area.

Thank you, but it doesn't appear to be correct. Patricks father was John John Carroll was born in 1792 in Castleconnell, Limerick, the son of Mary and John. He married Mary Shea and they had two children together. He then married Mary Shea on 5 February 1812 in St. Finbarr's South, Cork. He died on 21 November 1870 in Rathkeale, Limerick, having lived a long life of 78 years.

My Gt Grandfather was John Carroll birn Bruff, Limerick (son of Patrick Carroll and Margaret [or Margrate] Kelly.  John came to Queensland, Australia and married a Margaret McDonnell in Mackay, Qld, in 1874. He was 30yr old and Margaret was 18. 

I think Patrick's father's name was John, but I have not a paoer trail of that yet.  Seems John's D.O.B. could be questionable and that is where I am currently stuck.

I am looking to trace their lineage and wonder if your Carroll could be related to my Carroll.

It doesnt appear that the families are directly related from my family tree however they may very well be back in Ireland.
