Hi all from Sydney Australia,
I'm looking for relatives of Susannah McDermott who was born in Cappagh County in Tyrone in 1822 and emigrated to Sydney Australia. I don't have an exact date but she died in Sydney on 8th March 1879. She married a Robert G King who was born in 1823 and died in 1883 (presumably in Sydney). One of their children, Walter Henry King, was born in 1857 and was the father of my great grandfather (also called Walter).
Susannah's parents were Bridget and Daniel McDermott but I have no information about them. From what I can gather, Bridget and Daniel lived in Cappagh County Tyrone also. If anyone could give any further information or point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful.

As you can see from the link below, Cappagh is a Civil Parish in Co. Tyrone:
Church of Ireland records for Cappagh begin in 1758 while records for the corresponding Roman Catholic Parish of Cappagh (Killyclogher) begin in 1843. As this is the case, you will not find a baptism record for Susannah (assuming she was actually born in this parish). You could check the sites below, in case you are incorrect about her place of birth and this search would close an avenue for you.
There are some places where you can search online, however these websites do not have complete collections and many do not cover the period after 1900:
www.familysearch.org has a huge database of genealogical records including some church records for Ireland.
www.rootsireland.ie have a large collection of Irish Church records, however you have to pay to use this site.
