I am looking for gravestones of Patrick Roarke/Rourke and Bridget Roarke/Rourke from Derrinkip. Their chidlren were buried in Fenagh Abbey but I have not found them. Both were born around 1807/8, I think. (no births were found) They had their first child in 1826. Bridget was a Walpole. I think they died around 1890 but can't find a conclusive death record. Possibly if someone knew who was buried in Fenagh Abbey, I could find them. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hello again Barbara!
I found an April 24 1868 death record for a Patrick Roarke from Derrinkip. He was 69. He was a widower and the informant was Henry Roarke.I located this record on the subscription site Roots Ireland. As you likely know the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie only has index records for deaths from 1864-1870 although we expect the images for these years in the near future.
I did not find a record for Bridget and possibly she died before 1864 when civil registration started.
Did your Patrick Roarke/Rourke have a son Henry?

Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes he did. I believe that is Patrick as well. Would you expect him to be buried in the Fenagh Abbey graveyard? If not, where would you guess next? I am trying to locate his gravestone.

Likely he is buried there but I think it is highly unlikely to find a headstone erected around 1869.
