I'm interested in finding out more about the family history of Wynnes and Guckians in Fenagh.
I have information about the marriage of my great-grandparentsPatrick Forde and Anna (Guckian) Wynne in 1846 in Fenagh. Patrick and Anna Forde lived in Mucros Beg. They had 11 children, and 6-8 emigrated to the US. Felix Forde was Patrick's brother and lived in an adjoining house.
Unfortunately, I don't have any information from Fenagh about the Wynnes and the Guckians. I am presuming that if a young man was courting a girl in 1846, she probably lived in or near his parish.
I would be very grateful for any assistance. I also am mindful that there are gaps in the records in the period I am researching.
Please contact me if you have information to share.

You may want to check out www.titheapplotmentbooks.nationarchives.ie The records for Fenagh parish are from 1833. There were two Guckians and about 6 Wynnes. I also attached the 1857 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Fenagh civil parish. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/leitrim/fenagh.htm
Roots Ireland has RC records for Fenagh parish from 1825 on with a gap from 1830-1833 for baptisms. Roots is a pay site to view actual records.
The Mormon Church also microfilmed the Fenagh records. You can order the film online at www.familysearch.org The film is sent to a local Family History Center where you can review the film. The link below indicates that the baptimsal gap is 1830-1842.
