I am looking for information on my GG Grandfather Patrick Phalen from Mountmellick, Laois County. He was born on May 10, 1829 and his parents were Patrick and Mary (O'Brien) Phalen. He came to America in 1849 and went to Salisbury, CT where he worked in the ore hills.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Roots Ireland has records for Mountmellick RC parish starting in 1814. However when I searched in Co. Laois for Patrick's baptismal record with father Patrick and mother surname O'Brien, I got no record.
