I am seeking information relating to Michael Doyle from Borris or Leighinbridge, Carlow and who married Ann Lee on 9 June 1838 in Leighinbridge, County Carlow.

 

Their children were Jeremiah (1841), Eleanor (1843), Catherine (1846), Mary ann (1847), Daniel (1850), Alicia (1851) and James (1852).

 

They arrived in Australia in Feb 1857. 

 

Michael's father was Daniel and Ann's father was Jeremiah.

 

I am seeking to verify this data and wonder if you can provide further information than that which I have gained thus far.

    This could be the baptism of Michael Doyle

    Baptism date 7 September 1806 in Borris, parents Daniel Doyle and Elizabeth Lucas, parents address Borris http://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634408#page/1/mode/1up

    A sister Maryin Doyle baptised 28 July 1794 in Borris , parents Daniel and Elizabeth (Betty) parents address townland of Rosdellig in the parish of Kiltennell, co Carlow (see attached map)

    According to the marriage registration Ann Lee was from Royal Oak in the civil parish of Kilinane Co, Carlow

  • hello Deb i am friends with the gggg grandson of michael doyle and ann lee. Michael is buried in ballarat with his first son james i found their grave site the other day ann is buried in melbourne. they had to later chidren in australia michael and james  they are buried at the cohuna cemtery victoria and james junior is there . daniel michaels son is alos buried at the ballarat cemtery with his wife marie reily. would you have any more details on Daniel senior please thank you karen
