~~Michael McCue was born in Irleand in 1829 or 1830. He emigrated from Liverpool to New York, USA on the Ship Yorkshire either in August 1852 with his father also Michael McCue (aged 50) so born in 1801 or 1802 OR with several relatives in December 1851 from Liverpool to New York, USA with Patrick (aged 32), John (22), Martin (22), Pat, Patrick ( 1 month old infant).  I found a Michael M'Cue in Griffith's Valuation in 1850 renting land in Whitebog, Ballyadams, Laois.  No infiormation in USA about County of Irish origin. I am looking for information about this family.

    You could try looking at church records for more information on this family. Most Catholic records are held locally so you may need to write to the local parish priest for possible assistance. One website that you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. It also shows you where copies of the records are available.     You could try searching online at:

    www.familysearch.org has a huge database of genealogical records including some church records for Ireland.

    www.rootsireland.ie have a large collection of Irish Church records, however you have to pay to use this site.
