Williams parents were married in 1846 in Aghaboe. The only baptismal record I could locate on Roots Ireland was for William. See below.

I am also researching a Fitzpatrick from Aghaboe. My great great grandfather was Michael Fitzpatrick. I know he was a soldier and a pensioner. I found a Michael Fitzpatrick that fits with my great great grandfather. I would like to know more about the family. My Michael Fitzpatrick was born in Aghaboe in 1807. He joined the 97th Regment of Foot in 1824 but eventually transferred to the 83rd of Foot from which he was pensioned. He died in Leeds, England in 1867 of Typhoid Fever. 

You wrote that your ancestor migrated to Illionois. By any chance was this in Will County, Illinois? I did a DNA test with Ancestry.com and I have been matching with various people whose families ended up there. There were coal mines there and many of the Irish famililes that settled there were coal miners. 

Have you done a DNA test? It might be helpful to your research. If we are related then proof of it might help us in our research. Irish genealogy is difficult because of  a lack of records.

They did go to will county Illinois (where i grew up) i have found that William came to Illinois around 1860-1868 i need to clean up this branch of my tree :) hence the research. He then had his first son (as far as i can tell so far) Dennis in (born 1874 Wilmington Illinois). Dennis had Mary (born 1900 Joliet Illinois). and Mary married Ned Barnett they had Phyllis Barnett (born 1929 in joliet Illinois) (my grandmother on my fathers side) who then married Robert Arthaud and had Michael Arthaud 1955 my father. 

I have done my DNA on ancestry, i have stopped maying for my access for a bit though so i can not see everything i collected... but i am on there if you would like i could share my tree with you.

Many Irish people moved to Will County, Illinois, it seems.

Have you uploaded to gedmatch.com? This is probably the most important thing you can do if you want to compare DNA. I use the DNA of my Aunts because they are a better match. They are half sisters and share one set of grandparents which in this cas is jut the set that matters to us.

I have learned quite a bit since I last posted to this thread. 

I am very much of the opinion that my great grandfather Patrick "George" Fitzpatrick lived in Will County, Illinois. 

I have many DNA matches from Will County, Illinois. There is one family in particular that causes me to believe that George lived in Braidwood, Illinois. He was a coal miner and there was a coal mine there. It seems that the railroad recruited people from there to work at a coal mine at Carthage, New Mexico which is how George ended up in New Mexico.
