Hello from Nebraska, USA.  I am coming to Ireland in May and I am looking for any info on my family!  My Grandfather came from Ireland  late 1800's,.  We have a little information on him.  He was born Patrick James Dalton (possibly James Patrick Dalton to Patrick James and Mary Quinn Dalton.  He was baptized or born May 20th 1859.  I can not  read the top of the column but the entry says Bregawn (Bregaon).  This record was found in Windgap Church records.  I would love to find more information on him and possibly and living relatives!!   Thank you for any help with this!

  • The spelling of the townland is Bregaun. I also looked up the 1849 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Tullahought parish. There are Daltons listed but none in Bregaun. Likely the father of James Patrick was not a head of household in 1849.
