Yes, this is my family.  I too had found this information in the 1880 US Census.  I have since marriage and death certificates and obituaries for Mary and several of the kids, but nothing on William Senior.  These correlate with the 1880 Census, except that Mary Tobin Welch's death certificate lists her birth as July, 1845, as opposed to 1836 as listed in the census.  Mary's death record lists Ireland as her place of birth and her parents as John Tobina dn Ellen Hackett, both of Waterford.

My half-sisters (I was adopted) say that their (my) Grandmother (Mary, daughter of William and Mary) spoke of Dungarvan as being the place where her family came from.

James' death record lists his birth date as about 1859 in Ireland.  His occupation was listed as "farmer".

Griffiths valuation lists quite a few Walshes, Tobins and Hacketts in the Dungarvan area.  I was hoping to find marriage or baptismal church records from the area.  It appears the family was Catholic.

I will be in Ireland the first two weeks of September and will plan to visit the area.  It would be great to narrow the location somewhat!

    Thanks for your help!
