Joanna was born 1809 and aged 22, and single, when transported from Ireland to Australia in 1830 on the "Hooghly". She was sentenced to 7 years for stealing cloth and was travelling apparently with one child though I can't find anymore information than that. She was tried in Limerick and a native of Kerry.
I know a lot of records were destroyed in parliamentary fire in Dublin when alot of archives were destroyed but hope there is another line of enquiry available.

Dear Jann, do you know where she was tried in County Limerick or was it in the city? If you do the newspapers may carry an account of her trial.
