Hi, I am returning still looking for my paternal grandfather's family. I was in Ireland last Sept. and got a copy of a marriage license that I believe is for my Clifford great grandparents. When my grandfather came to America he listed Dooks, Killorglin on his ships manifest and Killorglin on his WWI draft card and his marriage license to my grandmother. The marriage license for my great grandparents is for the RC Chapel of Caherciveen. It lists the residence of both parties at the time of marriage as Killurley, and the fathers as Timothy Clifford and Daniel Connor, both farmers. The witnesses were Michael Clifford and Mary Coffey. The date was Feb. 13th 1888. I know that my grandfather had a brother John.
My son and I will be in Kerry in Oct. 2016 and would like to try to find more information about my Clifford family. Any help would be appreciated.

Killurly townlands (East, West and Commons) are in Killinane civil parish which is to the northeast of Caher civil parish where Caherciveen is located. Below is a link to the 1852 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Killinane parish and you can see many Clifford and Connor records including some in the Killurlys

I assume the family moved to Killorglin at some point. There is a Dooaghs townland in Killorglin civil parish.
www.irishgenealogy.ie has the Co. Kerry church reocrds. The Killorglin records start around 1800 but the Cahersiveen records do not start until 1846.
There was one Clifford family in Dooaghs in the 1901 census.
