Dear Therese,

I'm wondering if you can help me.

I am a descendent (Great, Great Granddaughter) of Thomas Donnelly born in Tynagh in 1834. His parents were Thomas Donnelly and Catherine Egan. Thomas married Brigid McKenna (born Killimor 09/12/1834) on 17/05/1855 in Killimor.  Thomas and Bridget then migrated to Australia aboard 'Eliza' arriving in NSW 24/09/1855. Thomas and Brigid had eleven children, all born in NSW. Thomas died 08/09/1879 and is buried at Galong NSW.

My mother and I are travelling to Ireland this year in September/October. We plan to visit Tynagh and hopefully visit the graves of family Thomas may have left behind. Do you have any records of Thomas? did he have any siblings? Did they stay in Ireland or did they migrate. Are Thomas's parents buried in Tynagh? Are any of his family still in Tynagh?

Any help you can give will be much apprecitaed. I am looking forward to taking my mother back to her roots, something she has long wanted to do. She has intuitively always had a great love of Ireland.

Kind regards

Suzanne Dickson
