Searching for ancient family linage.  I'm finishing my Ph.D in theology and believe that it would be important to understand the various twist and turns that took place in my ancestor's beliefs.  Mary Moloney was helpful in Tynagh and the purchase of all their remaining Millennium Review copies  was a great find for all my relatives here in the States.  I will need to shortly become ordained in order to continue to serve as a chaplain with USAF Civil Air Patrol and consequently will need to commit to either one of the denominations of the Catholic Faith, Protestant or Celtic Church.  Any stories or actual facts would be greatly appreciated.  Below is what little info I've obtained so far.  Patrick Moloney  my Dad's cousin past away in Tynagh a few years ago so my search came to an abrupt end.

The family of William and Marie (Power) Moloney

William Moloney born (     ) 1826 in (     Ireland) (deceased on 27 Feb. 1901 in    ); married Marie (Power) born (    ) 1837 in (    Ireland) (deceased on 3 Apr. 1915 in    ); on 16 Feb. 1860 in (     )children: Catherine Ann (Maloney), Margaret, Patrick (Maloney), John, Thomas Francis (Maloney), Delia (Maloney), Anne, Nora, and William

NOTE: I have not been able to confirm this fact, but it appears that the children of William and Marie (Power) Moloney who immigrated to the United States in the 1800's had the spelling of their surname changed. It was changed from MOLONEY to MALONEY. At this time I am assuming that this spelling change occurred when they entered the United States, and that it did not occur because they requested it. It is a known fact that many who immigrated to the United States had the spelling of their surnames changed when they were at Ellis Island, New York from what it was in the country of their origin.
