Hi
I am writing up a paper on the Kenny family of Treanmanagh. George Comyn Kenny who lived in longford house was a cousin of mine. He was from Clare. I wondered how to get access to the book by Ray Hogan on Tiernascragh. I see it referenced on landed estates database website but cannot find it online.
I wondered when George C Kenny came to Longford house. I think it was after his marriage in 1850. On your site it talks about a steeple as a wedding present from Colonel Martin. (Christopher Bernard) It may have been but George C kenny was still a solicitor in Dublin in 1851. I am not sure when he moved to Longford House or when he leased the lands locally. I think he got the majority of his money from his wife who was an heiress of her mother. (Martin from Clare)
Help on this appreciated.
His son George Martin Kenny held the Irish Long Jump championship and at some point jumped the canal at Portumna (24 feet). George Martin died young while at Trinity
