Can you clarify if Margaret's maiden name was Seymour since you indicated she married Thomas Seymour. I searched on Roots Ireland and there did not have a baptismal record for a Margaret Seymour or a marriage record for a Margaret Seymour or Thomas Seymour. The Rahoon records on Roots Ireland start in 1806 although the parish register has records starting in 1819.

I must have checked my post 20 times for spelling and dates only to miss a very important mistake. My great great-grandmother Margaret Seymour married Thomas Hynes. I don't have a date or location for their marriage but have been working on the assumption that it was shortly before the birth og their first daughter Anne in 1838. Thanks for the quick responnse and the important catch on my mistake in Thomas' last name.

No other baptismal records show up for Thomas Hynes and Margaret Seymour. No marriage records for a Thomas Hynes to a Seymour. I previously checked on Margaret Seymour. So the explanation is that the marriage and Margaret's baptism occurred in parishes which no longer have records back to the early 1800s.

Thank you for looking. The Hynes portion of my family have been consistently difficult to pin down. Roscommon seems to be a possibility but if joining any and all parish sites in Galway result in meeting helpful people like yourself...I'm in!
