I am descended from Martin Ward, identified in November 1863 as farmer, deceased, on the Warrington, England marriage record of his son, Patrick, my GGF. If you may be a descendant of such a person, esp. if farmed in Windfield Demesne, Windfield Upper or Lower, or Corrandoo between 1840's-1850's, kindly contact me.
We may be related. I can provide information re: the Ward descendants of Patrick, and am seeking local or family information to try to pinpoint my ancestral origins.
Attached is an image of my GF, Patrick's son John Joseph Ward, born 1881 in USA to Patrick Ward and Bridget Cannon, of Ballynaboll South, Aglish, Co. Mayo.

My email is lonnie_spock012@cox.net . I have "narrowed down" to as many as 12 Martrin Wards who were alive and farming in the period of interest. As my GGF Patrick, son of Martin, was illiterate and left behing no photos, the info I can share is circumstanmtial, plus an early photo of my GF John Joseph Ward, son of Patrick. I'd be more than happy to compare notes with any descendant of a farmer Martin Ward, to see if we can rule in or out a relationship! LLW

Hi there. The Ward family lived on Windfield Lower with my family, the Leonards. I connected with our family in the past year and have been out to the homestead twice. The ruins of the Ward home are at the back of the current home, just meters away from the old Leonard home. I believe they were all quite close. Julia Ward is listed as attending to the birth of my great-grandfather. I don't believe there were any marriages between the two families, but there is that connection!
My email is amyandthomas@outlook.com if you want to discuss further or share info you have.
Cheers!
Amy
