Addition information to previous post.
The father of Terence Donegan may be John Donegan, no birth or death information. His mother may be Catherine Dowd, no birth or death information.
The father of Mary Tuohy may have been Patrick Tuohy born 1838 Galway and died after 1911 most likley in Galway. Her mother may have been Catherine Kilchrist born 2 March 1847 in Galway and passed on 25 Oct 1884 in Portumna Galway.
Any help in expanding this family tree would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ellen
There is a record of Terence Donegan's baptism on rootsireland
It SHOULD have the parents' names and the parish (some do / some don't)
There are 2 birth records for Mary Tuohy in Galway 1873 - probably the same 1 twice

Eileen:
This is likely the civil birth index record for Terence although the surname is a variant. Ematris parish is part of the Cootehill registration district which is in Cavan. I also found two civil birth index records for Mary in 1873 in Co. Galway. Not sure which one is hers. If you want to get copies of these records from the GRO, let me know and I'll explain the process.

I am a DNA match at 5-8 generations to Eileen713's family above and have been in correspondence with them. We cannot find a connection, but I think that is because neither of us have records back far enough. We might be able to connect if we could find the appropriate Catholic records (if they exist for the appropriate time period), or perhaps find another angle (including other DNA matches?).
On my side the connection must be through Mary Bell(e) Hickey, born in. Co. Galway 1846, first child of James Hickey and Hannah Touhey. James and his brother William Hickey had boats on the River Shannon, and Hannah was from a farm family. I do not have an exact birth year for either of Mary's parents. The family immigrated to the U.S. ca. 1848, were in northern Ohio by 1850, and had settled in the Newton, Jasper County area by 1856, where they farmed.
In 1853 James advertised in the Boston Pilot from Carrollton, Ohio for news of his brother-in-law Darby Toohy of "Rossmore," County Galway, age 22, immigrating through the port of New Orleans with destination Cinncinnati, Ohio. I do not know what happened to Darby, nor does that name or its variants appear again in my line. (The first U. S. generation included two sons, James Michael and William). Members of a Co Galway listserv helped me determine that Darby Touhy was from the townland of Rosmore on Lough Derg rather than the other Co. Galway possibilities. I am less clear on what Catholic parishes might hold records for this townland.
Family lore has it that the Hickeys emigrated to the U.S. because a Touhy nephew was imprisoned for debt and Hannah and James lost "everything." The nephew was said to have gone to Australia. James's brother William Hickey and family may have stayed in Ireland because in 1868 his daughter Mary emigrated and joined her relatives in Iowa, marrying a Dan O'Hare. The descendants of Mary and Dan that I have located knew nothing of her relatives.
Thank you for any suggestions on how to proceed.

Julie:
Rosmore townland is in Ballynakill civil parish, Leitrim barony. Researching Ballynakill parish is very complicated because there are four separate Ballynakill parishes in Co. Galway. Your Ballynakill is in southeast Galway as you said near Lough Derg.
It looks like the two possible parishes are Woodford and Abbey+Duniry. Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie has Woodford records back to 1821 (with some gaps) but does not yet have the data for Abbey + Duniry. Roots is a pay site to see the actual transcription of the church record. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for the RC parish information, Roger. That is very helpful.
I specified "Lough Derg" rather than the civil designation not only because of the four Ballynakills but because of the Rosmore I am interested in often being spelled Rossmore. I feel fortunate to have such a specific locality tied to my family.
